Bracketology 2021: Games thru Tue, Jan. 26

Here's the latest seedlist.

Some notes instead of a bracket today:

No Duke, Michigan St., or Kentucky in today's field of 68, what a crazy year!

Creighton vs. Seton Hall and Wisconsin vs. Maryland have massive bubble implications (as massive as January games get, anyway). 

Louisville vs. Clemson should help sort out the jumble of teams trailing UVA.

An Ole Miss win at Arkansas would push both teams to the very edge of the field (Ole Miss up, Arkansas down). 

Interestingly, Penn St. is still within spitting distance of the First Four despite a sub-.500 record. If they were to go into Columbus tonight and win, they'd be right on the cutline.

A Drake win would almost certainly push them onto the 8 line and perhaps the 7. Time to start taking the undefeated Bulldogs seriously, although the real measuring stick will come in a couple of weeks when they take on Loyola Chicago, a team on the bubble themselves (but for now pretty safely in).

Not quite sure what to do with Oregon. A week ago they were a 6 seed with a top-30 NET. Then they returned from a COVID hiatus and suffered a really bad loss at home to Oregon State. I'm keeping them on the 8 line for now, but they could easily be a 10 or 11. That being said, when healthy and playing as well as they can, they fall right in line with the other 3 tournament Pac-12 teams (Colorado, UCLA, USC).
